Please read these terms carefully before booking. By confirming a reservation with ArrowCabs, you agree to all conditions outlined below.
Booking & Eligibility
Requirements to secure a self-drive reservation with ArrowCabs
Minimum Rental Duration
All self-drive bookings with ArrowCabs require a minimum rental period of more than 3 days. We do not offer single-day or 48-hour self-drive rentals. This policy ensures sufficient time for vehicle inspection at handover, a smooth rental experience, and responsible use of our fleet.
If you require a vehicle for a shorter duration, please contact our team to explore our chauffeur-driven taxi or local cab options, which are available without a minimum-day restriction.
No Advance Payment Required
Unlike the industry-standard practice of collecting 70%–80% of the total rental amount upfront, ArrowCabs does not require any advance payment to confirm your booking. Your reservation will be secured upon submission of the required documents and completion of our verification process.
All rental dues are settled at the time of vehicle handover, in full transparency. There are no hidden charges, no surprise deductions, and no complicated pre-authorization holds.
Required Documentation by Customer Type
The documents required to complete your booking depend on your residency and travel category. Please ensure all originals are available at the time of vehicle handover.

Security Deposits & Payments
Deposit structure and financial responsibilities during your rental
Refundable Security Deposit
Fully Refundable Security Deposit
Applicable to all local and domestic tourist bookings. Collected at vehicle handover and returned in full, on the spot, once the vehicle is received back in its original condition.
NRI customers should consult our team directly regarding deposit arrangements, which may vary depending on booking duration and vehicle category. The deposit is held as a security guarantee and is not used for any purpose unless damage or outstanding fines are identified upon vehicle return.
Traffic Violations & Camera-Detected Fines
The customer is solely and entirely responsible for all traffic violations, speed camera penalties, red-light fines, and any other government-issued fines incurred during the rental period. This includes fines detected via automated CCTV or AI-based traffic enforcement systems.
ArrowCabs may receive notices for violations after the vehicle is returned. In such cases, the customer will be contacted and required to settle the outstanding fine amount directly with the relevant authority. Repeated or unresolved violations may result in the recovery of fines from the security deposit.
We strongly urge all renters to comply with all applicable road traffic laws, speed limits, and traffic signals throughout Kerala and any other state in which the vehicle is driven.
Maintenance, Repairs & Damages
Understanding who is responsible for what during your rental period
ArrowCabs’ Maintenance Responsibilities
ArrowCabs is fully responsible for keeping the vehicle in roadworthy, mechanically sound condition throughout the agreed rental period. Our pre-delivery inspection and scheduled maintenance covers:
If a mechanical fault arises during your rental attributable to standard wear-and-tear or a pre-existing condition, ArrowCabs will arrange for repair or vehicle replacement at no additional cost to the customer.
Customer’s Responsibility — Minor Damage
The customer is liable for any damage to the vehicle’s exterior body parts that occurs during the rental period, including but not limited to:
Scratches, dents, cracked mirrors, broken indicators, damaged bumpers, chipped windshield glass, or any other cosmetic or structural damage to the vehicle’s body panels.
Repair costs will be assessed at the time of vehicle return using current market rates. The customer will be informed transparently, and the amount may be recovered from the security deposit or settled directly before vehicle release.
We recommend conducting a thorough walk-around inspection with the ArrowCabs representative at handover and documenting any pre-existing damage with photographs.
Accidents & Insurance Coverage
All ArrowCabs vehicles carry valid motor insurance. The extent of coverage and customer liability depends on the nature and value of the damage incurred.
Minor / Cosmetic Damage
Scratches, dents, and body damage are not covered by insurance and remain the full responsibility of the customer, regardless of cause.
Mid-Range Damage (₹40K–₹50K)
For damage estimated between ₹40,000 and ₹50,000, the customer bears this repair cost in full, even if the vehicle is insured.
Major Accident (Insurance Invoked)
For severe damage where insurance is formally claimed, the customer may still be required to pay a portion of costs, determined case-by-case.
In the event of any accident, the customer must: (a) not move the vehicle unless required for safety, (b) contact ArrowCabs immediately, (c) not accept liability or make any settlement with a third party without our team’s involvement, and (d) file a police report where required by law or as advised by ArrowCabs.

ArrowCabs provides roadside assistance for all self-drive renters throughout the duration of the rental period. The speed and nature of support varies by location:
Munnar & Kottayam
On-site mechanic support is readily available. Assistance is typically arranged quickly, with minimal wait time for breakdowns or mechanical issues.
Isolated Locations
Assistance is always extended — however, customers travelling to remote or off-road areas should expect longer response times due to geographic constraints.

These terms form a binding agreement between you (the customer) and ArrowCabs, a service of Arrow Cabs Pvt. Ltd., registered and operating out of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
ArrowCabs reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time without prior notice. The version published on our website at the time of booking shall be considered the operative agreement.
